Dubai. September 6. INTERFAX-UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths promised that the world organization will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, said the representative of the Taliban movement (banned in the Russian Federation) Suheil Shaheen.
"The UN delegation promised to continue humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, said that it would call for further assistance to Afghanistan during the upcoming meeting of donor countries," Shaheen wrote on Twitter.
During his visit to Afghanistan, Griffiths met with the leader of the political wing of the Taliban, Abdul Ghani Baradar.
