VLADIVOSTOK, September 4. /TASS/. The share of the Asia-Pacific region (APR) in the Russian portfolio of export orders for military products (PVN) is about 50%. Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), told reporters about this during the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2021).
"Russia's main partners in the field of military-technical cooperation in the region are China, India, Myanmar, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Malaysia. The countries of the region account for almost half of the current Russian export defense order portfolio, " Shugaev informed.
According to the head of the Federal Customs Service, increased attention is paid to technological cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. "Given the focus of the Asia-Pacific countries on the development of their own military-industrial complex, significant attention is paid to technological cooperation within the framework of joint ventures and the organization of licensed production of Russian air defense systems," Shugaev said.
