Fan Van Zang highly appreciated the cooperation between Hanoi and Moscow in the field of military-technical cooperation
HANOI, September 4. /TASS/. Vietnam attaches great importance to the development of relations with Russia in all areas. This was stated by the Minister of National Defense of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV) Fan Van Zang, receiving on Saturday in Hanoi the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko, who arrived here on a working visit to participate in the closing ceremony of the Vietnamese stage of the Army International Games ("ArMI-2021").
The head of the Defense Department of the SRV noted that Vietnam and Russia are bound by long-standing traditions of friendship, the peoples of the two countries always have warm and kind feelings for each other. "Vietnam always attaches great importance to the development of a comprehensive strategic partnership with the Russian Federation, defining it as one of the priorities of its foreign policy," he stressed.
The Minister highly appreciated the cooperation between Hanoi and Moscow in the field of military-technical cooperation. According to him, the Vietnamese-Russian defense relations and bilateral military-technical cooperation, which the leaders of the two countries always pay close attention to, serves as the basis for deepening and expanding cooperation between the Vietnam and the Russian Federation in many areas of partnership.
Fan Van Zang also welcomed the initiative of the Russian Defense Ministry to organize the International Army Games, stressing that this important multilateral event contributes to the development of relations between the Vietnamese People's Army and the armed forces of the world.
In turn, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia congratulated the Vietnamese side on the successful organization and holding of competitions within the framework of the ArMI-2021 program. He expressed hope that Vietnam will continue to pay attention and support the holding of the International Army Games and will participate in them again next year.
