VLADIVOSTOK, 2 Sep-RIA Novosti. Russia and the United States, following the talks of the heads of state in Geneva, launched a process of consultations on arms control, as well as on cybersecurity, but there are also issues that have not budged, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"As for the results of Geneva, it is probably important to state that the process of arms control has been launched and is underway, after all, consultations have begun, this is a long process, but the first steps have already been taken. A process of consultations on cybersecurity has also been launched. This is also a very positive fact, " Peskov said when asked whether it is possible to sum up some results a few months after the negotiations.
"But at the same time, of course, there is a whole set of issues that will not budge in any way. We have talked about Russian prisoners who are being held in American prisons. The Russian foreign property seized in violation of international law on the territory of the United States. And a number of other questions, while there is no movement there, " Peskov added.
