The Chinese military has begun to receive the latest third-generation anti-tank missile system. Such weapons were received, in particular, by units of one of the combined arms brigades of the 78th Army Group (army) Northern Combat Command of the PLA. Photos from the training ground, where the development of this advanced weapon is underway, appeared on the Network.
According to Russian expert Yuri Lyamin, rumors that a new generation of ATGMs operating on the principle of "shot and forget" began to enter service with the PLA have been going around for a long time, and prototypes of new ATGMs were presented back in 2014, then Chinese companies showed two different types of ATGMs of the new generation.

Norinco demonstrated the Red Arrow 12 (HJ-12), which is somewhat different from the one that eventually entered service with the PLA. The TS-01 ATGM was also offered by Poly Technologies, but the differences are even more noticeable.
"It is known that some difference between prototypes, export modifications and what goes into service for its army is not uncommon for China",- Lyamin noted.
Unfortunately, domestic developers and manufacturers of guided anti-tank weapons in this direction have already begun to lag behind not only the United States, Israel, France, Germany, South Korea and China, but even Iran, which last summer adopted the third-generation Almas complex.
