The tasks of engineering support in the preparation of combat operations are worked out at a joint tactical exercise by units of the armed forces of Belarus and Russia. It began on Tuesday at the 230th combined arms training ground Obuz-Lesnovsky, seventeen kilometers from Baranovichi, the military department of the Republic of Belarus informs.
The ministry clarified that " the purpose of the exercise is to improve the practical skills of commanders and staff officials in organizing the implementation of engineering support tasks, as well as to improve the coherence of engineering units in performing engineering support tasks during the preparation of combat operations."
Units of the 2nd Engineering Brigade and the 188th Guards Engineering Brigade, as well as an engineering and sapper battalion of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will take part in the exercise.
