Moscow. August 31. INTERFAX-Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered to involve military officers in the training of personnel who are trained by departmental universities.
"To train military personnel - including for practical training, internships, exercises, classes at training grounds and military equipment - in addition to teachers, to involve military officers," Shoigu ordered at a conference call on Tuesday.
The Minister also said that seven thousand foreign servicemen from 58 countries will start studying at Russian military universities on September 1.
"Tomorrow, a new academic year begins in the educational organizations of the Ministry of Defense. More than two and a half thousand students, more than sixty - one thousand cadets, seven thousand military personnel from 58 countries, as well as 15 thousand pupils of pre-university educational institutions, including children from Syria, Laos, Mongolia, Tajikistan and South Ossetia, will start classes," Shoigu said.
He asked the deputy Defense Ministers, the commanders-in-chief of the Armed Forces and the commanders of the branches of the Armed Forces, heads of universities, commanders of all degrees to ensure the high quality of the educational process, to take a personal part in it.
