Vladivostok. August 31. INTERFAX-FAR EAST-The joint Russian-Mongolian military exercise "Selenga-2021" will be held from September 20 to October 5 at one of the military training grounds in Mongolia, the press service of the Eastern Military District (VVO) reported on Tuesday.
"In total, up to 1.4 thousand servicemen from the Eastern Military District and the Mongolian Armed Forces are planned to participate in the event," the report says.
All conferences on the preparation of this joint exercise have been completed, the press service clarifies.
The Selenga exercise is aimed at combating international terrorism. During the exercise, the military personnel of the two countries, using various tactical techniques of modern combat, eliminate conditional illegal armed formations.
