Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. August 29. INTERFAX-Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu does not consider Ukraine a threat to Russia.
"I would not talk about Ukraine as a threat. I believe that Ukraine and the Ukrainian people are a fraternal people. These are not only our neighbors, we are one people. Here, I don't even want to argue and reflect on this topic at all. Because this is a creation and plans and a program that is implemented, you know, by whom, how and for what money, "Shoigu said in an interview with journalist Vladimir Solovyov in the author's program" Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov " on the TV channel "Russia-1" (VGTRK).
"And what we have today (in Ukraine-IF), we believe and hope that this situation will change sometime, and there will be a person who will stop all this nationalist bacchanalia, completely unfounded by anything, neither historically, nor factually, nor absolutely anything," Shoigu said.
Answering the question why he does not comply with the decision of the Ukrainian court and does not appear at the hearing, Shoigu said: "I am guilty, I will correct myself."
To the journalist's remark that after this, hysteria will begin in Ukraine, Shoigu said: "And you don't show them, let them live in peace."
He said that Ukraine is also his personal question.
