Its prototype, which successfully passed the tests, was demonstrated to the Minister of Defense as part of the Army-2021
KUBINKA /Moscow region/, August 27. /TASS/. The Kalashnikov Group of Companies (GC) has started developing a promising small arms complex capable of managing data on the enemy's location and increasing the situational awareness of a serviceman. This was reported to TASS during the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021" in Kalashnikov.
"GC Kalashnikov is developing a promising small arms complex on an initiative basis in cooperation with co-executing enterprises. Its prototype was successfully tested and was demonstrated to the Minister of Defense as part of the Army-2021, "the Civil Code informed.
According to Kalashnikov ,the promising small arms complex is designed to defeat human forces, including those protected by means of individual armor protection and enemy fire weapons at ranges up to 600 m.
"The use of the complex will significantly increase the effectiveness of an individual serviceman and units as a whole by increasing the probability and speed of hitting enemy targets, increasing the level of situational awareness of the serviceman, as well as managing data on the enemy's location," the Civil Code added.
It is possible to integrate the complex with the systems of protection, control and power supply of military equipment of a serviceman. "The new complex is built using the modularity principle, and its weight will be comparable to the weight of the AK-12 in service, "Kalashnikov summed up.
