The delegation of the CSTO Joint Staff discussed issues of improving the mechanisms for using collective forces in Yerevan

Yerevan. August 27. INTERFAX-Armenian Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan received a delegation headed by First Deputy Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Lieutenant General Hassan Kaloev, in Yerevan on Friday, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reports.

"During the meeting, the Armenian Defense Minister presented the security situation around Armenia. Lieutenant-General Kaloev reported to the RA Defense Minister on the issues of planning the joint operational deployment of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO, " the message reads.

The sides exchanged views on the issues of decision-making within the framework of the CSTO and the improvement of mechanisms for the use of collective forces.
