Nur-Sultan. August 27. INTERFAX - The phase of the CIS exercises "Caspian-Antiterrorism-2021" has started in the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan, the press service of the National Security Committee of the republic reported.
"The implementation of the joint anti-terrorist exercise of the CIS member states"Caspian-Anti-Terror-2021" has been launched on the territory of eight states of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The power phase of the exercise with the development of practical skills to neutralize the threats of terrorist attacks at sea transport facilities will be held on the territory and water area of the seaport of Aktau, Mangystau region," the message said on Friday.
The purpose of the event is to work out interdepartmental and interstate interaction, as well as to prepare the competent authorities of the Commonwealth countries for practical actions to prevent terrorist acts at the facilities of the marine infrastructure and the oil and gas industry.
