SIMFEROPOL, August 26. /TASS/. The international military-technical forum "Army", which will be held in Simferopol for the first time, is planned to be made annual, the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov said on his page in VKontakte.
"Today, the site of the military-technical forum "Army-2021"has opened in Simferopol. This is a very important and significant event for all of us. Military labor and the defense of the Fatherland have always been surrounded by special honor and respect in our country. We are united by pride in the Russian army and navy - the best in the world. I believe that such a platform should become an annual one, contributing to strengthening the prestige of military service and demonstrating the combat potential of our armed forces," Aksenov wrote.
The chairman of the Crimean branch of DOSAAF, Andrey Popov, clarified to TASS that the forum was previously held in Kerch, and this year it was organized for the first time in Simferopol. "If this experience turns out to be positive, of course, we will try to conduct it. On our own behalf, on behalf of DOSAAF, we will do everything to make this platform even more saturated, active, and productive, " he said.
The Forum on the Black Sea Fleet will be held at four venues: in the hero cities of Sevastopol, Kerch and Novorossiysk, as well as in Simferopol at the Zavodskoye airfield. The Crimean Ministry of Information, citing the press service of the Black Sea Fleet, also reported that tactical techniques of modern combat, including the actions of tactical airborne troops on Mi-8 helicopters, will be demonstrated in Simferopol. The capabilities of the T-72B3 tank, which is in service with the coastal defense unit of the Army Corps, and the Aileron-3 unmanned aerial vehicle will also be presented.
"Dozens of units of modern weapons and equipment will be presented in static display areas. Visitors to the Army-2021 forum will be able to carefully examine both outside and inside the Tiger and Typhoon armored vehicles, BTR-80 and BTR-82 armored personnel carriers, the T-72B3M tank and the Chrysanthemum anti-tank complex, as well as many other types of weapons and military equipment," the message says.
