Israel intends to work on creating a coalition of Arab countries that want to limit Iran's influence in the region. This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in an interview published on August 24 with The New York Times.
According to the prime minister, at a meeting in Washington with US President Joe Biden on August 26, he will present a new strategic vision on this issue.
"What we need to do, what we are doing, is to create a regional coalition of rational Arab countries that will fight back together with us and block this expansion," he said.
As the newspaper notes, Bennett did not go into details of these plans.
Bennett hosted CIA Director William Burns in Tel Aviv. They discussed the situation in the Middle East, paying special attention to Iran, as well as the development of cooperation in the field of intelligence and security.
