Specialists of the military innovative technopolis "ERA" presented at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021" on Tuesday a unique operating model of electric transport developed specifically for the needs of the Russian Armed Forces. The electric car was given the name "ERA".
According to the developers, the machine has a wide range of features. The electric vehicle can be used for conducting reconnaissance, as well as for transporting supplies and medicines to military personnel in need. The electric car has already been tested in driving on sand dunes and in other difficult road conditions. The machine was also tested at extreme air temperatures.
It is noted that similar exhibits abroad are still under development. Therefore, the ERA electric car presented at the forum is a unique innovative operating model.
The development, as reported in the press center of the Army-2021 forum, has Russian analogues. But unlike them, the ERA electric car has a number of advantages. So, additional special equipment is installed on the presented model - an electric suspension, a winch, a platform for an unmanned aerial vehicle, searchlights, a solar battery and a shatterproof blanket. It is silent and secretly overcomes considerable distances. It moves easily over rough terrain and off-road. The upgraded braking system reduces the braking distance, and the settings for the return of engine energy (engine recovery) allow you to increase the driving range.
"Thus, the relevance of the development lies in the simplicity, cheapness of production, ease of maintenance, further operation and modernization," the developers assured.
During the exercises" Slavic Brotherhood", the ERA electric car has already confirmed its unique characteristics. And according to some indicators, according to the technopolis "ERA", it even exceeded the expected result.
