Moscow. August 24. INTERFAX-Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia will not interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan and draw its armed forces into the conflict in this country.
"You know what a difficult and alarming situation has developed in Afghanistan today. We are closely monitoring it, actively interacting with our CSTO allies. Of course, we are not going to interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan, especially to involve our armed forces in a conflict of all against all, " Putin said, speaking at the congress of the United Russia party.
"The USSR had its own experience of staying in this country. We have learned the necessary lessons, " he added.
