KUBINKA /Moscow region/, August 24. /TASS/. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation received shortened AK-12 submachine guns for trial operation. This was reported to TASS during the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021 "in the press service of the Kalashnikov Group of Companies (GC).
"The shortened versions of the AK-12 were transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for trial operation, so that the customer could determine the need for such products in his weapons system. Special forces units are leaning towards a long machine gun, " the press service informed.
As noted in Kalashnikov, potential customers are also interested in the latest small-sized AM-17 automatic machine. "Customers are also showing interest in the AM-17, a compact and lightweight automatic machine that can be used in transport operations. We plan to take this product to state tests this year, an experimental batch has already been made, " the press service added.
