Russia annually sells more than 100 thousand Kalashnikov assault rifles to foreign countries, said the head of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev.
Rosoboronexport has already signed contracts and even supplied a number of partners with new models of this legendary machine gun - the AK "two-hundredth" series, as well as the AK-12 and AK - 15," the head of the company said.
The general director of Rosoboronexport told Interfax about the signing of a new contract with India for the supply of 70 thousand AK-103 assault rifles. The Kalashnikov concern told the agency that in mid-August, a batch of AK-15 submachine guns for special purpose units was transferred to India.
Mikheev announced the entry of new AK-12 and AK-15 Kalashnikov assault rifles into the export market in February at the IDEX-2021 exhibition in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
"The AK-12 is a promising small arms of the Russian army and other law enforcement agencies, providing high combat effectiveness, versatility of use, accuracy and accuracy of shooting," the Rosoboronexport website says.
The AK-12 is positioned as a new platform, on the basis of which it is planned to produce weapons of various calibers and purposes - both military and civilian.
