Moscow. August 23. INTERFAX-The Collective Security Treaty Organization is ready to attract additional forces to protect the Tajik-Afghan border, but there is no need for this yet, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas said.
"Today, the Tajik border guards are quite tightly controlling the situation that is developing on the border of Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Therefore, there is no such need to attract additional forces to protect this border... If such a need arises, this issue will be considered separately, we have all the opportunities for this, " Zas said.
According to him, the army and the border service of Tajikistan need assistance in technical equipment, and the CSTO countries are ready to provide it.
