The total volume of supplies to Russia through military-technical cooperation (MTC) in 2020 amounted to $15.6 billion, said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
"Even last year, which was very difficult in this direction, provided us with timely deliveries and even a little more than in 2019 - $15.6 billion in total deliveries through the military-technical cooperation," he said at the Army-2021 forum.
The Minister noted that the Russian Federation ranks second in the world in the export of military products and the pandemic was not an excuse for not fulfilling the state defense order. The share of civilian products at the defense industry enterprises amounted to 25.6%, he said.
Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec, said that the state defense order was fulfilled by the state corporation by 99.5% last year. According to him, the income from the sale of civilian products accounts for more than a third of the income of the entire Rostec, writes TASS.
Manturov also noted that Russian enterprises of the military-industrial complex should take part in the development of solutions to ensure the biosafety of the Russian Federation.
