The official announcement of the rifle with smart functions took place at the Army-2021 forum. The concern's message says that the MP-155 Ultima received an on-board personal computer based on Android, which was radically redesigned by specialists. "The design was also adapted to the possibility of using a rifle with a detachable butt — only with a pistol grip, "said Valentina Vlasenko, head of the Kalashnikov Civil Small Arms Design Center.
The concern also named the price of a new weapon. The MP-155 Ultima rifle is available in the company's online store by pre-order. Its cost is 130 thousand rubles. "The new model combines the reliability of the proven MR-155 semi-automatic, cutting-edge design and gadget compatibility technologies," the product description says.
The smart small arms were created on the basis of the MP-155 smoothbore rifle. The model has a monochrome display with a choice of modes — "Camera", "Shooting", "Compass" and others. It can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The unofficial announcement of the new gun took place in August 2020. Representatives of Kalashnikov stated that the MP-155 Ultima is "the first smart gun in an innovative design."
