The Kalashnikov Group of Companies (part of the Rostec State Corporation) presented the serial version of the latest MP-155 Ultima smart rifle at the Army-2021 international military-technical forum. This was reported to journalists on Monday in the press service of Kalashnikov.
"At the Army-2021 forum, we are presenting the serial version of the MR-155 Ultima smart rifle. Over the past year, the on - board personal computer (PC) has been radically redesigned-now it is on the Android system. The design was also adapted to the possibility of using a rifle with a detachable butt-only with a pistol grip, "the press service quoted the head of the Kalashnikov civil small arms design center, Valentin Vlasenko, as saying.
For the first time, the MP-155 Ultima rifle was presented a year ago at the Army 2020 forum. In February 2021, the world premiere of this weapon took place at the IDEX 2021 exhibition in Abu Dhabi. The Ultima rifle is built on a modular principle, which allows the owner to customize the product. The external elements are made of aviation aluminum alloy and high-tech polymers. The weapon has an on-board PC with a digital display, a clock, a compass, a stopwatch, a timer, a shot counter and an indicator of the remaining cartridges.
