TSAMTO, August 23. One of the novelties of Rostec at the Army-2021 MVTF was the Pantsir-S1M anti-aircraft missile and gun system (an upgraded version of Pantsir-S1), capable of detecting air targets at a distance of up to 80 km.
According to the press service of the State Corporation, in the modernized "Pantsir-S1M" the range of destruction has been increased to 30 km, which is due to the installation of a multifunctional guidance radar station with a phased antenna array of the millimeter range and a new missile defense system.
The complex is characterized by high firepower, which is achieved due to rocket and cannon weapons, high reaction speed and the ability to conduct reconnaissance and combat targets in motion.
Earlier this year, the Pantsir-S1M was already demonstrated at the IDEX international weapons exhibition in Abu Dhabi, where representatives of foreign countries showed interest in the Russian development.
According to the head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov ," the countries of the Middle East and North Africa are extremely important markets for us, where we implement many projects both in civilian areas and in the field of military-technical cooperation."
