The head of the Defense Ministry pointed out the need to pay special attention to the creation and construction of the Avangard initial military training centers
MOSCOW, August 20. /TASS/. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu appealed to the leaders of the Russian regions with a proposal to continue supporting the Unarmei movement.
"Taking advantage of the fact that we have virtually all the governors today, I would like to address them, the heads of subjects, the chairmen of governments who are participating in our conference call. In our country, the Unarmia movement has acquired a truly all-Russian, very large-scale character. Taking into account the fact that the budgets of the constituent entities of the Federation are being formed now, it is necessary to understand that your budgets are laid down for the development and maintenance of the "Unarmia", the Unarmee movement, what is laid down for the creation of houses of the "Unarmia", the maintenance of its activities for the next year. And I hope we will continue to work together with you in this direction, " Shoigu said, summing up the results of the conference call held on Friday.
He stressed that special attention should be paid to the creation and construction of the Avangard initial military training centers.
"Here we will meet you halfway in everything, we will support you with equipment, and where we have property that can be demanded by such centers, we will, of course, transfer it. And here we will make every effort to meet the requirements when creating such centers, bearing in mind that this is the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The program is supported by him, " Shoigu said.
The All-Russian children's and youth military-patriotic movement "Yunarmiya" was created in 2016 on the initiative of the Ministry of Defense and with the support of the President of Russia. Now there are more than 850 thousand participants in its ranks. The main task of the movement is patriotic education, as well as physical, intellectual and social development of young people.
