MOSCOW, August 19. /TASS/. The Russian military department will present developments in the field of artificial intelligence at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021", Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov said on Thursday.
"This year, as part of the Year of science and technology held in Russia, we will demonstrate a number of new products at the forum. Among them is a new thematic cluster that combines expositions in the field of artificial intelligence, radio-electronic and information technologies, " Gerasimov said at a briefing for foreign military attaches.
According to him, for the first time, the exhibition of the Military Innovation Technopolis "Era", the exhibition "Day of Innovations of the Ministry of Defense of Russia", the exhibition "Diversification of the military-industrial complex of Russia" and the specialized exhibition "Arctic"will be presented.
The Army-2021 Forum will be held on August 22-28 in the Moscow Region - in the Patriot Park, at the Kubinka airfield, the Alabino training ground, as well as at demonstration sites in all military districts and in the Northern Fleet. It will be attended by representatives of 115 foreign countries, as well as more than 1.5 thousand enterprises and industrial organizations. Belarus, India, Kazakhstan and Pakistan will present their national expositions.
"In comparison with last year, the exhibition areas of the forum have been increased by more than 2,700 sq.m. More than 28 thousand samples of products and technologies will be presented at all sites," Gerasimov said.
"The static exhibition from the Russian Ministry of Defense will involve 342 units of weapons, military and special equipment, and 275 samples will be used in the dynamic display," the chief of the General Staff said.
