Chinese military climbers overcame mountain rivers in Kabardino-Balkaria in preparation for the international stage of the Elbrus Ring competition ArMI-2021.
The Chinese division in full force carried out a parallel and mounted crossing over the Baksan mountain river on parallel stretched ropes and brought a mounted crossing over the Terskol River, the width of which was 6 meters, and the flow speed was up to 10 m / s.
Military climbers equipped a mounted crossing over the river, demonstrated the skills of choosing supports on the shore taking into account the mountainous and rocky terrain, building railings, organizing insurance and crossing as part of a group with full equipment. On average, the team needed 10-15 seconds to ferry one person to the opposite shore. Next, backpacks were transported by the same method.
Teams of military climbers from Russia, China, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Uzbekistan and India are also taking part in the preparation for the competition. Before the start of the International Army Games, the mountain units of the participating countries will receive the necessary equipment, will undergo acclimatization, will conduct classes on improving individual training and coordination.
