Moscow. August 17. INTERFAX-The competent authorities of the CIS countries will work out the issues of preventing terrorist attacks on the objects of marine infrastructure and the oil and gas industry, as well as their suppression during the exercises "Caspian-Antiterrorism 2021".
As the CIS Anti-Terrorist Center told Interfax, a joint command and staff training was held in Moscow before the start of the exercises.
"The purpose of the event is to prepare employees of operational units of the competent authorities of the Commonwealth countries for coordinated practical actions to identify signs of preparation of terrorist acts at the facilities of the marine infrastructure and the oil and gas industry, as well as their suppression during the first stage of the joint anti-terrorist exercise "Caspian-Anti - Terror-2021," the center reported.
Delegations of security agencies and special services of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as CIS agencies visited Moscow.
The training was one of the preparatory elements of the joint anti-terrorist exercise of the competent authorities of the CIS member states "Caspian-Anti-Terror-2021", the key issues of which will be related to the technologies of ensuring the security of the Caspian region.
