INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN - In the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, against the background of the aggravation of the situation in Afghanistan, measures have been taken to strengthen vigilance: the task has been set to monitor the situation in the region, organize round-the-clock duty of forces and means, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the republic reported.
"In the light of the aggravation of the situation in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, measures have been taken in the Armed Forces to strengthen vigilance. First of all, it affected the units of the Special Operations Forces, front-line and military transport aviation, air defense, " the Ministry of Defense said in a statement issued following the meeting.
In particular, Defense Minister Nurlan Yermekbayev set tasks for monitoring and analyzing the situation in the region, organizing round-the-clock duty of forces and means. In order to ensure high vigilance, the need for uniform distribution of the load on duty by military personnel was noted.
