Dubai. August 16. INTERFAX-The militants of the Palestinian group Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, congratulated the Taliban movement (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) on the rapid capture of Afghanistan,the Associated Press reported on Monday.
In a statement issued on Monday, Hamas welcomes "the end of the American occupation on all Afghan land." The militants from the Gaza Strip praised the role of the "courageous Taliban command in this victory, which was the culmination of a long struggle over the past 20 years."
Hamas also wished the people of Afghanistan success in the future and noted that "the expulsion of American troops proves that the resistance of the peoples, primarily our struggling Palestinian people, should lead to victory."
