Yerevan. August 12. INTERFAX-Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he is ready to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for talks on Karabakh and the settlement of regional problems.
"Armenia is ready to get involved in the negotiation process (with Azerbaijan - IF) at a high and top level. We are waiting for concrete proposals, " Pashinyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.
According to him, it is necessary to refrain from provocative statements and actions, which will be of key importance for the formation of an appropriate atmosphere for negotiations.
"De-escalation of the situation is essential for identifying the initiators of provocations, which is difficult to imagine without the involvement of the international monitoring mechanism. I believe that this should be a CSTO observation mission, but if this option is unacceptable, then the OSCE Minsk Group Co - chairmanship observation mission remains an alternative," Pashinyan said.
He stated the need to solve complex regional problems.
