Ashgabat. August 7. The Presidents of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan discussed the situation in Afghanistan at a consultative meeting, stressing that its early settlement is one of the most important factors for preserving and strengthening security and stability in Central Asia.
This provision is fixed in a separate paragraph of the Joint Statement following the meeting of the leaders held in the National Tourist Zone "Avaza" in Turkmenistan.
According to the document, the presidents of the five countries are ready to provide all possible assistance to achieve civil peace and harmony in the Afghan society.
The Central Asian States also support the efforts of all countries and international organizations seeking to contribute to ensuring security and stability in Afghanistan, restoring the socio-economic infrastructure of this country and its involvement in world economic relations.
