In the Volgograd region, at the Prudboy training ground, Indian and Russian special forces staged a competition on the "scout lane". The training with elements of real combat took place within the framework of the joint exercises "Indra-2021".
To practice their skills, engineers built a two-kilometer obstacle course that simulates the construction of an industrial city destroyed by military operations.
"The scouts overcame more than 20 difficult obstacles, including wire fences, ditches, trenches, iron pipes, destroyed walls, underground passages, fragments of urban structures and rubble," the Southern Military District said in a statement.
An additional obstacle was included in the competitive element - overcoming a water barrier. About 100 meters of the Karpovka River, the servicemen had to swim by boat. This was followed by an exercise- "throwing knives at a growth figure", capturing a prisoner and providing him with first aid.
The actions of the reconnaissance groups took place with imitations of explosions, fires and under small arms fire.
"According to the results of the competition, the Russian servicemen were ahead of their colleagues by only 20 seconds, taking into account penalty points," the press service of the Southern Military District reported.
