This was stated by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at a meeting with the staff of the Krasmash enterprise in Krasnoyarsk on Friday.
He recalled, in particular, that the military department has a program for the employment of officers ' wives. "Over the past four years, the number of unemployed wives has decreased by 13 times. We are constantly engaged in them, " the minister said.
Shoigu added that over the past five years, the number of military families waiting in line for kindergarten has decreased by eight times.
Separately, the minister spoke about the military mortgage, which he called a program of substantial support for military personnel. "This tool is used in the Armed Forces, and very actively. Military mortgages are one of the main tools for providing housing for military personnel, " the head of the Russian Defense Ministry believes.
