TSAMTO, August 6. On August 5, a briefing for foreign military attaches dedicated to the upcoming Army-2021 forum was held at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center.
"The main objectives of the event are: to attract delegations and enterprises of foreign countries to participate in the Army-2021 forum, as well as to inform foreign partners about the events of the forum," said the acting head of the Main Department of Research and Technological Support of Advanced Technologies (innovative research) Russian Defense Ministry Major General Dmitry Gorbatenko.
During the briefing, he provided information about the features of the upcoming Army-2021 forum and answered questions of interest to foreign guests.
"To date, 95 countries have confirmed their participation in the Army-2021 forum, of which four countries will present their national expositions, where foreign partners will demonstrate the most promising samples and developments," D. Gorbatenko said.
Special attention was paid at the briefing to the cluster dedicated to artificial intelligence, which will be opened at the forum.
"Within the framework of the Year of science and technology held in the Russian Federation, a thematic cluster of artificial intelligence, radio – electronic and information technologies will be launched," D. Gorbatenko said.
The most significant events will be the congress "Strategic Leadership in the Digital Age and Artificial Intelligence Technologies" and the forum dedicated to the diversification of the Russian defense industry, organized by the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission of Russia.
"In addition, a visiting meeting of the Expert Council on the Development of Foreign Economic Activity of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship is planned on the topic" Prospects and problems of export development and international cooperation in the production of civilian products by defense industry enterprises", as well as a visiting meeting of the Expert Council on Photonics and Laser Technologies under the State Duma Commission on Legal Support for the Development of Organizations of the Russian Military-Industrial Complex, " D. Gorbatenko said.
The exhibition of export samples of weapons and equipment this year will include, among other things, robotic complexes, such as "Uran-6", according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The VII International Military-Technical Forum "Army "will be held from August 22 to 28 on the basis of the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, as well as at the Kubinka airfield and the Alabino training ground.
