Russians are also trained in such organizations, the minister stressed
KRASNOYARSK, August 6. /TASS/. Propaganda centers, which train Russians, among others, to conduct subversive information work in Russia, have been established in Riga, Tallinn and Warsaw. This was announced on Friday by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at a meeting with the staff of the Krasmash enterprise.
"Information has become one of the types of weapons today. A propaganda strategy center has been established in Riga, and centers have been established in Tallinn and Warsaw. Information weapons are being created there, which are being introduced and distributed throughout our country, " the minister said.
He added that these centers, in particular, spread many rumors, "not the best flavors"come from these structures. "It is unlikely that you will name at least one center in our country that trains specialists in information attacks. We do not train such specialists. But there are several centers in Europe that train such specialists from citizens of our country," the army general added.
The minister explained that such Western centers monitor the information space on the Internet, identify those "who do not write anything good", and then invite them to work for scholarships. "And these are not units, these are dozens [of people] who are stamped every quarter," the head of the Defense Ministry said.
He added that his department pays significant attention to the information agenda. Thus, the newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda" was created under the ministry, the TV channel "Zvezda" and radio "Zvezda"work.
