MOSCOW, August 4. /TASS/. The former head of the Kalashnikov Group of Companies (GC) Dmitry Tarasov left his post in connection with the transition to another job. This was reported to TASS by a source in the military-industrial complex.
"This is his decision, it is connected with the transition to another job," the source said.
According to the Rostec state Corporation, Vladimir Lepin is the acting head of the Kalashnikov Group, and the appointment of a new head of the Group will be considered at a meeting of the Board of directors on August 10.
"Indeed, these issues will be considered on August 10 at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Kalashnikov Concern. At the moment, the acting general director of the company is Vladimir Lepin - a well-known person in the industry, a scientist, a production worker, a professional manager. For many years, he has successfully worked at various defense industry enterprises in the Rostec circuit, " the press service informed.
Rostec noted that the Kalashnikov Group has tasks to strengthen its position on the world market. "[Kalashnikov Group of Companies] is a complex multi-profile asset that is entering a new stage of development. The tasks related to the development and launch of new types of products for both military and civilian purposes, increasing export directions and positions in foreign markets are expanding, " the press service reported.
