With the arrival of Vladimir Lepin as general director of the Kalashnikov Concern, the export potential of the enterprise will be fully realized, Dmitry Shugaev, director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia, told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.
A source of the agency in the military-industrial complex told about the upcoming appointment earlier today. According to him, the Board of Directors is appointed for August 10, and Lepin may replace Dmitry Tarasov in this post.
He noted that under the leadership of Lepin, the Techmash concern began its foreign economic activity in 2018 as an independent subject of military-technical cooperation.
"And after a short time, Lepin managed to achieve significant results in the military-technical cooperation," said the director of the FSVTS.
According to him, Lepin takes an active position in promoting the products of the enterprises and companies headed by him to foreign markets, is well versed in the requirements of foreign customers for the quality and technical data of products, ensuring its service and after-sale service, as well as the introduction of modern technologies.
The Kalashnikov Concern is Russia's largest manufacturer of small arms.
