Minsk. August 3. INTERFAX-A comprehensive operational and tactical exercise with the Grodno border group began on Tuesday, according to a statement on the website of the State Border Committee of Belarus.
"A comprehensive operational and tactical exercise is being conducted with the Grodno border group (the Grodno region borders with Lithuania and Poland-IF). It will last until August 12, " the ministry noted.
They clarified that the exercise provides for three stages, during which"issues of mobilisation and combat coordination of mobile reserve units, strengthening the protection of the state border, identifying, blocking and eliminating armed formations, and subsequent stabilization of the situation on the border territory will be worked out."
