Moscow. August 2. INTERFAX-Russian intelligence has established good cooperation with colleagues from Western countries, in particular, on countering international terrorism, said SVR Director Sergei Naryshkin.
"In general, I can tell you with confidence that we have very good cooperation with the intelligence services of leading European countries, "Naryshkin said in an interview with the Solovyov-live program.
According to him, such cooperation has been established, in particular, with Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria.
"The intelligence services have their own niche and responsibility, including a lot of interaction with our colleagues in the fight against international terrorism," the head of the SVR explained, noting that "intelligence, operational, signal information is being exchanged very actively with colleagues, this does not stop."
Speaking about the current head of the CIA, William Burns, who at one time held the post of US ambassador to Moscow, Naryshkin noted that he had not yet had contacts with Burns, but the head of the SVR "quite politely congratulated him in writing" on his appointment to a new post.
