MOSCOW, August 2. /TASS/. The joint activities of the defense departments of Russia and China are characterized by high dynamics of development and expansion of areas of interaction. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexander Fomin during a video conference dedicated to the 94th anniversary of the formation of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA).
"Russian-Chinese military cooperation is characterized by high dynamics of development, consistent expansion of areas of interaction and a great intensity of contacts, "said Fomin, whose words are quoted in the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda, the next issue of which is published on Monday.
He noted that the joint activities of the defense departments of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China include a set of measures of a political, economic, military and military-technical nature aimed at strengthening the defense capability and national security of the two countries.
The Deputy Minister also drew attention to the fact that joint combat training events are regularly held between the armed forces of the two countries.
"Russia and China have traditionally been linked by many years of friendship, mutual respect, consideration of each other's interests, a mood for fruitful cooperation, as well as common views on the most important international issues," Fomin stressed.
The Deputy Minister congratulated the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation Zhang Hanhui and the defense attache at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation, Major General Kui Yanwei, as well as all PLA servicemen on the holiday.
