Washington. July 29. INTERFAX-US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken did not announce the imposition of sanctions against India for the country's possible purchase of S-400 air defense systems from Russia.
"We have our own laws. We will apply our laws, but we have shared our concerns with India about this, " Blinken replied to a question from a journalist of The Times of India about possible US sanctions for the delivery of Russian S-400s to India before the end of the year.
"But I'm not going to get ahead of myself. We will see how events will develop in the coming months, " he added.
Earlier, the head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia, Dmitry Shugaev, told Interfax at the MAKS-2021 air show that the Russian Federation plans to supply India with the first batch of S-400 air defense systems by the end of the year.
"It is planned to deliver the first batch of S-400 to India by the end of 2021," he said.
