Dushanbe. July 28. INTERFAX - The next meeting of the heads of military departments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries will be held in Uzbekistan in 2022, according to a communique following the meeting of defense ministers of the SCO member states held in Dushanbe on Wednesday.
"We decided to hold the next meeting of the defense ministers of the SCO member states in 2022 in the Republic of Uzbekistan," the document says.
During the meeting, "the heads of the defense departments agreed to continue to provide comprehensive assistance to the accession of India and Pakistan to the SCO international documents in the military field," the communique says.
"Cooperation of the SCO member states in the fight against the COVID - 19 pandemic, as well as in countering challenges and threats along the perimeter of the external borders of the SCO member states and the exchange of information in the field of military security"was noted.
"The heads of the defense departments strongly condemned attempts to falsify the historical truth about the causes and results of the Second World War, as well as the rehabilitation and glorification of Nazi criminals and their accomplices," the document says.
