The military exercises "United Efforts-2021" with the participation of military personnel from a dozen and a half NATO member countries and alliance partners will be held in Ukraine at the end of September. This was reported by the press service of the command of the so - called operation of the united forces (OOS-force operation in the Donbass).
"Strategic command and staff exercises will be held at almost all ranges of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas," the Ukrainian edition quotes the press service LIGA.net.
According to the commander of the OOS Sergey Naev, after the end of the exercises, the coordination of the actions of the command with the military authorities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during operations should be achieved. The Ukrainian army should also demonstrate the acquired abilities to organize the planning of operations, Naev added.
Last year's exercises "United Efforts - 2020" in Ukraine were held from September 22 to 25. They involved 12 thousand people and 700 units of weapons and military equipment. "United efforts-2020" was a response to the large-scale exercises of Russia "Caucasus-2020", the publication notes.
The exercises "Cossack Mace - 2021", in which units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and four Western countries (USA, Great Britain, Canada, Sweden) took part, were held on July 21-24 at the training ground in the Mykolaiv region. About 2 thousand servicemen and more than 300 units of military equipment took part in them. From June 28 to July 10, the exercises of NATO and the partners of the Sea Breeze 2021 alliance took place in the Black Sea off the coast of Ukraine. The main participants of the maneuvers were Ukraine, the United States, Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Latvia. About 4 thousand military personnel, 40 warships, boats and auxiliary vessels, 30 units of aviation equipment and more than 100 units of vehicles and armored vehicles were involved in the exercises.
