Damascus. (Syria). July 26. INTERFAX-The head of the interdepartmental coordination headquarters of the Russian Federation for the return of refugees to Syria, Mikhail Mizintsev, reported on the development of an operation to remove civilians from the Rukban refugee camp.
"The details of the operation to remove civilians from the camp to the government territory have been worked out and agreed upon. The UN is ready to provide vehicles, " Mizintsev said.
He noted that more than 12 thousand people live in the Rukban refugee camp, which is located in the US-occupied Al-Tanf zone.
Mizintsev added that the Syrian government has equipped an additional temporary accommodation center "Duer" for those who want to leave the camp.
He also expressed hope that the United States will ensure the safety of UN staff and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in the 55-kilometer zone of Al-Tanf controlled by them.
The Rukban camp is located in Syria in the unilaterally created by the United States de-escalation zone "Al-Tanf "(the border of Syria and Jordan, next to the American base"Al-Tanf").
