Modern ammunition finds its own targets. The company Rafael showed a promo video of its line of SPICE planning bombs equipped with artificial intelligence.
The SPICE family consists of three types of ammunition. About the youngest of them — SPICE 250 — Warspot has already reported earlier. Now the "older sisters" weighing 1000 and 2000 pounds have joined the 250-pound class bomb. We are talking about kits for converting free-falling bombs into "smart" ones.
Presentation of the SPICE family ammunition
The key feature of the SPICE family of ammunition is that the "smart" guidance system includes various methods of detecting targets, including satellite, laser, as well as object recognition due to the presence of artificial intelligence. Thanks to the ability to plan to the target, these bombs can hit objects at a distance of up to 125 km from the drop point.
