The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), with the support of TsNIIMash (part of Roscosmos) and the Foundation for Advanced Research, is developing a software package that can be used to design multi-satellite space groupings. This was told to TASS by a representative of MIPT.
"With the help of the program, we select the satellite, the components that it will consist of, and then we send it to simulate various options. < ... > We can also simulate the space-earth interaction and look at various control options," the agency's interlocutor said at the International Aviation and Space Salon, where the demonstrator of the complex was presented.
As the representative of MIPT clarified, the institute is the main performer, TsNIIMash oversees the space part, and the FPI is the project itself.
"Despite the fact that the complex is not fully ready yet, many calculation modules are used to solve various tasks, including in the interests of Roscosmos," the agency interlocutor added.
This year, the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2021 will celebrate its 15th anniversary. The air show will be held from July 20 to 25 in Zhukovsky.
