Roskartografiya noted that they are interested in obtaining remote sensing data from spacecraft for use in operational monitoring of changes in the Earth's surface

MOSCOW, July 20. /TASS/. The private space company Success Rockets and Roskartografiya signed a cooperation contract at the MAKS-2021 Air show. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the space company.

"On July 20, as part of the MAKS-2021 air show, Roskartografiya signed a cooperation agreement with the private Russian space company Success Rockets. Roskartografiya is interested in obtaining remote sensing data from spacecraft for use in operational monitoring of changes in the Earth's surface. Such data is planned to be provided by the Russian private space company Success Rockets, " the press service said.

Success Rockets explained that the cooperation is being implemented within the framework of two areas of the company's activities - the creation of a group of remote sensing of the Earth (remote sensing) in the infrared and optical ranges (SR OKO) and a group of radar sensing of the Earth (SR SAR).

"We welcome the appearance of a company in Russia, which in the future will be able to additionally provide us with operational information about changes in the Earth's surface. I wish my colleagues success, we will wait for the results, " the company's press service quoted the words of the general director of Roskartografiya Sergey Karutin.

Success Rockets clarified that the SR OKO remote sensing constellation in the infrared and optical ranges will include 36 spacecraft, each of which will carry an optical camera for high-detail shooting with a resolution of 0.5 m and an infrared spectrometer imaging. "This will allow us to achieve the maximum quality of images that are required to solve the tasks of Roskartography, the main performer of cartographic and geodetic works of federal significance today. The interest from state organizations confirms that we are moving in the right direction. We are grateful to our colleagues for their trust and support, " the press service quoted Oleg Mansurov, the head of Success Rockets, as saying.

Earlier it was reported that Success Rockets has registered a subsidiary of SR Satellites LLC in Rostov-on-Don, which will be engaged in the production of satellites.
