The first export contract for the Brahmos cruise missiles will be signed at the end of the pandemic, a face-to-face meeting of representatives is needed, Alexander Maksichev, co-director of Brahmos from the Russian side, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
At the same time, he stressed that the export of weapons is the prerogative of the government - the authorities of India and Russia will officially announce the first export contract as soon as it is signed.
"The company is working on this and is fully ready to meet the requests of foreign customers as they arrive," Maksichev said.
The Russian-Indian company "Brahmos" was established in 1998 and named after the Brahmaputra and Moscow rivers. It produces cruise missiles of the same name, as well as launchers, missile control systems, equips storage facilities, is responsible for training crews, repairing and upgrading missiles.
