The exercises will be held from September 11 to 25
YEKATERINBURG, July 16. /TASS/. More than 4 thousand military personnel of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be involved in the joint anti-terrorist command and staff exercises "Peace Mission - 2021", which will be held in Orenburg in September. This is stated in a message distributed on Friday by the press service of the Central Military District (CVO).
Earlier, the final round of consultations on the organization of the exercises took place in Orenburg. Delegates from seven foreign countries and Russia took part in it and conducted a reconnaissance of the places of practical actions.
"More than 4 thousand servicemen will take part in the joint military anti-terrorist command and staff exercise (SWAKSHU) of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) "Peace Mission - 2021", which will be held at the Donguz training ground in the Orenburg Region," the message says.
According to the final protocol, the exercises will be held from September 11 to 25, 2021. Military personnel of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Kazakhstan will use their military equipment at the exercises, representatives of other states will receive equipment from the Russian side.
It is specified that the Central Military District aviation will be involved in the exercises, in particular Mi-8 helicopters, Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft, Su-34 fighter bombers and Il-76 military transport aircraft.
SVAKSHU "Peace Mission-2021" will be held in September on the territory of the Central Military District at the Donguz training ground in the Orenburg Region. During the exercise, the servicemen will have to work out the tasks of preparing and conducting an anti-terrorist operation by a coalition group of troops (forces) of the SCO member states.
