MOSCOW, July 12. /TASS/. Four candidates for the Russian cosmonaut squad have started general space training (OKP). This is stated in the message of the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (CPC), distributed on Monday.
"The candidates for cosmonauts of the 2020 set have started the OKP at different times. Someone needed less time to change their activity and place of residence, someone more," the message says.
On Monday, a presentation of new recruits - Sergey Teteryatnikov, Alexander Kolyabin, Sergey Irtuganov and Harutyun Kiviryan-took place at the CPC.
At the end of January, the Interdepartmental Commission recommended that the Cosmonaut Training Center (CPC) enroll four people as cosmonaut candidates based on the results of open recruitment to the squad, there are no girls among them again. General space training will be conducted by Sergey Irtuganov, Alexander Kolyabin, Sergey Teteryatnikov and Harutyun Kiviryan. As specified in Roscosmos, in the near future they will begin a two-year course of OKP.
